| wow, its been awhile since i wrote in here. i guess i should post in here more often, but i feel like im just babbling n no one realli cares to read this thing ne way. BUT, the occassion has called for at least another entry, so here i am. my bday was on tues, the 22nd, so i went home for easter break from thurs afternoon til tuesday morning, kinda like a happy bday to myself anyway, it was great getting to spend time just relaxing at home (as if i dont do that all day here in austin) and spending lots of quality time with annie. we sorta celebrated both our bdays during the wkend since hers was just a bit earlier on the 11th. we did a lot of eating, as usual, and that us both happy, haha. ne way, she surprised me with a bday dinner friday nite at razoo's with some good friends (dennis, gloria, steven, howard, timmy, and sara) and that was a lot of fun. they bought my dinner and greatest of all, got me such a GREAT gift that i love so much: the 25th anniversary ROCKY DVD COLLECTION. how awesome is that. thanks to all the ppl who chipped in: nick, daryl, chris, linton, kenneth/maverick, brian, ben, timmmy, and annie, you guys are awesome. dennis is ALSO awesome cuz he went n got me a 4-set of simpson shot glasses, hehehe  i felt quite special after that...guess its been a long while since i've gotten to celebrate with friends. after dinner, me, annie, dennis, and alice went out to club spy, where we were supposed to meet up with kevin and tina. well that didnt work out so well since apparently they went to the wrong club, hahaha. in ne case, when we got to the club, it looked like it was indian night out, cuz more than half the ppl there were indian or paki or similar. it was amazing...i guess. so saturday was spent putting my gift to use...rocky marathon with annie, hehe. sunday passed and all the college ppl went back to college, so that just meant more time for me n annie. monday was spent shopping, and then the reason i stayed home so long: US men's clay court championship, where i got to see andy roddick tear up some no name, and then james blake battle with a big german guy. the german guy wasnt getting any applause AT ALL from the crowd, even tho he was playing really well. and since this was his first time in houston, annie felt bad for him. so basically, she took it upon herself to b waske's, i think his name was, entire cheering section. unfortunately, she made me cheer with her. the ppl around us must have thought we were pretty dumb...a couple of young chinese ppl surrounded by rich, middle-aged/old white ppl made it quite awkward. anyway, we finished that n went searching around for a nice place to eat dinner...too bad it was like 10 and everything in and around sugarland closes at 9. so we ended up going to ihop, where we stuffed ourselves with yummy omlettes. it was actually realli nice since the place was empty, and our waiter was realli awesome cuz he served his butt off, always checking up on us n being super nice n respectful n wut not. so, i left him a big tip. the guy earned it. so if u've made it this far, im very impressed.
i went back to austin early tues morn to get back in time to turn in my MIS project and prepare for my BA presentation. the rest of day was pretty ordinary. ate a bbq dinner provided by jester, and then went to play ball until we dropped. played like 5 full court games straight, n so i went to sleep not too long afterwards that nite. wed nite was when i was realli surprised. i was sitting at my comp at around 6:30ish, waiting to see if ne ppl were gonna make the daily ritual to j2 for dinner, when dennis walks into our room n stands at the doorway. i saw melvin behind him, so i figured they were stopping by to ask if i wanted to eat. then dennis suddenly charged at me, n since he seems to do this quite often for some reason, i figured he was just joking around like usual. i was wrong. he instead tackles me to the ground, n melvin promptly puts me in a headlock. the whole time i was just sitting there thinking, 'uh...can u please stop that'. then i see/hear chris sun come over with some duct tape n he starts taping up my arms and my legs. nick, daryl n charlie come in too, but daryl doesnt pay ne attention to the mugging going on and goes straight to my unattended ps2 controller and exclaims with darylish glee, 'oo, nba street!' so i get dragged outside my room by the group, but dennis goes to get something in his room. so i decided the tape was getting uncomfortable, so i force my way out of it. good taping job chris sun, hahaha. so basically its obvious they were making a weak attempt to kidnap me, but i end up walking out of san jac with them of my free will, haha. they take me over to kerby lane, where i get ANOTHER bday dinner. wow, lucky me. this time daryl, nick, chris, linton, charlie, melvin, dennis, david, chris, and my only two female friends, kristal and tina, are all there. we ate n were merry, and it was another great surprise. i even got a cake this time, courtesy of dennis, which arrived all pretty and PINK, also courtesy of mr dennis lee. it was a great way to wrap up the bday week. thanks again to all those who celebrated with me, and thanks to all those ppl who somehow found out it was my bday n wished me well. u guys made it a great, if not the best, bday. gracias to all, im gonna go watch rocky now. til next time, PEACE. | | |
